Note: This product version no longer supports Mac OS X Snow Leopard™ 10.6.8 or earlier. If there are agents installed on Mac OS X Snow Leopard, do not upgrade the agents and be sure that there is a Trend Micro Security (for Mac) 2.0 SP1 server that can manage these agents. Uninstall the current Trend Micro program for Mac. Click the button below to download the Diagnostic Toolkit.zip file: Download Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.zip. Double-click the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.zip to unzip or extract the file. Once unzipped, double-click the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.app to open the file.

Windows XP
Remove Trend Micro From Computer
- Download the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.
- Click Run when the File Download window appears. The Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit window appears after the download finishes.
- Click the Uninstall tab, then click 1. Uninstall software. The Toolkit will automatically detect the Trend Micro program that is currently installed.
- Click Uninstall. After the program finishes uninstalling, you will then be asked to restart your computer.
- Click Yes
Windows Vista or Windows 7
- Click your Windows operating system version to download the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.
- Click Run when the File Download window appears. The User Account Control window will appear.
- Click Yes. After the download finishes, the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit window appears.
- Click the Uninstall tab, then click 1. Uninstall software. The Toolkit will automatically detect the Trend Micro program that is currently installed.
- Click Uninstall.
- After the program finishes uninstalling, you will then be asked to restart your computer.
- Click Yes.

Procedure
- Log on to the client computer using an account with Administrator privileges.
- Right-click the OfficeScan client icon on the system tray and select Unload OfficeScan. If prompted for a password, specify the unload password then click OK.
Note
Disable the password on computers where the OfficeScan client will be unloaded. For details, see Configuring Client Privileges and Other Settings. - If the unload password was not specified, stop the following services from Microsoft Management Console:
- OfficeScan NT Firewall
- OfficeScan NT Proxy Service
- Trend Micro Unauthorized Change Prevention Service
- Click Start → Programs, right-click Trend Micro OfficeScan Client, and click Delete.
- Open Registry Editor (regedit.exe).
WARNING
The next steps require you to delete registry keys. Making incorrect changes to the registry can cause serious system problems. Always make a backup copy before making any registry changes. For more information, refer to the Registry Editor Help. - Delete the following registry keys:
- If there are no other Trend Micro products installed on the computer:
- For 64-bit computers:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432nodeTrend Micro
- If there are other Trend Micro products installed on the computer, delete the following keys only:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARETrendMicroOfcWatchDogHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432nodeTrend MicroOfcWatchDog
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARETrendMicroPC-cillinNTCorpHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432nodeTrend MicroPC-cillinNTCorp
- Delete the following registry keys/values:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionUninstallOfficeScanNT
- OfficeScanNT Monitor (REG_SZ) under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun
- Delete all instances of the following registry keys in the following locations:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServices
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet002Services
- Keys:
- tmcfw
- TmFilter
- tmpfw
- TmProxy
- VSApiNt
- tmwfp (For Windows Vista/Server 2008/7 computers)
- TMBMServer
- Close Registry Editor.
- Click Start → Settings → Control Panel and double-click System.
- Click the Hardware tab and then click Device Manager.
- Click View → Show hidden devices.
- Expand Non-Plug and Play Drivers and then uninstall the following devices:
- tmcomm
- tmevtmgr
- Trend Micro PreFilter
- Trend Micro VSAPI NT
- Trend Micro Unauthorized Change Prevention Service
- Trend Micro WFP Callout Driver (For Windows Vista/Server 2008/7 computers)
- Uninstall the Common Firewall Driver.
- Right-click My Network Places and click Properties.
- Right-click Local Area Connection and click Properties.
- On the General tab, select Trend Micro Common Firewall Driver and click Uninstall.
Note
The following steps only apply to Windows Vista/Server 2008/7 operating systems. Clients using all other operating systems skip to step 15. - Right-click Network and click Properties.
- Click Manage network connections.
- Right-click Local Area Connection and click Properties.
- On the Networking tab, select Trend Micro NDIS 6.0 Filter Driver and click Uninstall.
- Restart the client computer.
- If there are no other Trend Micro products installed on the computer, delete the Trend Micro installation folder (typically, C:Program FilesTrend Micro). For 64-bit computers, the installation folder can be found under C:Program Files (x86)Trend Micro.
- If there are other Trend Micro products installed, delete the following folders:
- The BM folder under the Trend Micro installation folder (typically, C:Program FilesTrend MicroBM for 32-bit systems and C:Program Files (x86)Trend MicroBM for 64-bit systems)
